Shark Guardian

Shark Guardian is a UK Charity for shark and marine conservation worldwide.

Teamed with professional divers, shark researchers and marine biologists, Shark Guardian has four main departments of operation:

Conservation

Shark Guardian leads or supports international campaigns targeting the shark product industry through petitions, coalitions, working with government agencies and influencing policy changes.

Education

Shark Guardian operates several shark education programs and activities including providing shark presentations to schools and the general public, producing educational materials and publishing books and creating shark educational diving programs.

Research

Research is vital to influence policies to protect sharks as well educate the public about shark conservation. Shark Guardian leads and supports several citizen science research projects. University shark and ray projects are also supported by Shark Guardian.

Expeditions

Shark Guardian combines shark education and research into leading shark diving expeditions around the world. Participants learn from shark experts and marine biologists while actively contributing towards research.
